Marmaray Stations were disinfected in Kartal within the scope of extraordinary importance taken by Kartal Municipality in order to protect the public from Covid 19 virus known as corona virus. Yunus, one of the most important transportation axes of Kartal, is located within the boundaries of Marmaray. Cevizli, Atalar, Başak and Kartal Merkez stations were completely disinfected by the teams.
Stations in; escalators, seating groups, stair handrails, handles, administrative divisions, toilets and elevators were disinfected with a special solution. Opened to the use of disabled citizens; however, all elevators that were kept closed in order to maintain social distance among citizens were opened against the possibility of virus infection and their disinfection.
The tourniquets and card filling points, where the virus transmitted by contacting the surface, is likely to be found, also caused the teams to work carefully. As a result of the study, which lasted approximately 6 hours, the Marmaray stations in Kartal were disinfected for the second time after the emergence of the coronavirus danger.
