Izmir Metropolitan Municipality put two new machines into service to increase the capacity of the mask production it carries on within the scope of combating the coronavirus outbreak. Chairman Tunç Soyer, who examined the machines that will produce 60 thousand masks per day, said, “We will deliver a lot more masks to the people of Izmir with these two machines.”


Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Vocational Factory bought two machines to increase the mask production capacity within the scope of combating coronavirus outbreak. Thanks to these two digital machines, the Profession Factory increased its daily mask production capacity to 60 thousand. Izmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer said, “We will deliver many more masks to the people of Izmir with these two machines.”

Professional Factory BayraklıExamining the mask production at the Course Center in Istanbul, Soyer thanked the Vocational Factory sewing instructors and volunteers for their support for mask production. Soyer said, “This epidemic does not seem to end within a short period of time. The rate of spread of the epidemic continues to increase. We need to take more precautions. Our citizens must use masks to protect themselves and each other. I want to emphasize the importance of this. Now we automate our mask production with two new machines we bought. We are increasing our daily production. ”

The digital machine presses the mask out and ready it. The tires of the masks are sewn by Vocational Factory trainers and volunteers.

Masks produced at İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Vocational Factory and supplied by the method of purchase are distributed to family health centers and field personnel. The masks are delivered to the public through the hygienic packages in the maskematic that serve at the metro stations.
