Within the scope of combating Corona Virus (COVID-19) by Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, in the city public transportation vehicles; Inspections for obeying social distance rule, preventing passenger capacity overflow and traveling without mask were increased.
In order to protect the health safety of the city and to minimize the risk of infection, while increasing the measures taken against the Corona Virus, which is a global pandemic, which is called “pandemic” by the World Health Organization (WHO), which is a global epidemic in a short time in the world, is increased. With the cooperation of the Municipality Directorate of Transportation, Gaziantep Provincial Police Department, inspections have been increased in order to prevent standing passenger reception in vehicles providing public transportation services in the city, to stop the passenger overflow and to prevent the unmasked travel of the public.
While emphasizing that the social distance rule is of vital importance by public health experts, Büyükşehir aims to create a sense of responsibility for citizens in order to raise awareness of responsibility and prevent the public from preventing preventive measures. On the other hand, requests and complaints received by 153 GİKOM line within the Metropolitan Municipality are regularly inspected by traffic police teams and efforts are made for a peaceful transportation service.
