Due to the coronavirus epidemic, cultural and artistic activities were temporarily suspended in Ankara. Metropolitan Municipality Culture and Social Affairs Department launched a new service for art lovers who stayed in their homes with the call of “HomeKal”. The works of artists who are members of Ankara Women Painters Association started to be displayed on the website of the Metropolitan Municipality.


Global coronavirus outbreak in Turkey as well as all over the world also caused the interruption of cultural activities.

Many cultural and artistic events were postponed in the capital. The "Virtual Exhibition" prepared for art lovers who could not leave their homes due to the "HomeKal" call was realized by the Metropolitan Municipality.

EXHIBITION HALL AT YOUR HOME

The pictures that have been moved to the electronic environment started to be displayed on the Metropolitan Municipality website.

While the paintings prepared by the Culture and Social Affairs Department in collaboration with the Ankara Women Painters Association meet the art lovers in the internet environment, beautiful paintings containing the works of the artists were moved to the home of the citizens without the need to go to the exhibition hall.

ART IMPROVES

A total of 50 works belonging to about 127 artists who are members of Ankara Women Painters Association can be found on the official website of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality (www.ankara.bel.t is), while exhibiting, the mixed art exhibition prepared with the motto #creativize and #artwork in your art house also received full marks from art lovers.

Pictures previously exhibited in Vienna, Bratislava, Bishkek, Paris and Madrid will be available online 7/24, until the coronavirus epidemic is over, this time.
