Turkey has made significant progress in the last 18 years in tunnel construction. The length of the tunnels built between 2003-2019 reached 408,2 kilometers.
The total number of tunnels in Turkey 353 ... It was only a 2019 kilometer long tunnel 43 in the year 26. In 2020, it was aimed to build a 25,2 km tunnel. in Turkey before 2003 there were only 50 kilometers long tunnel.
The completed tunnels include Eurasia Tunnel, Kömürhan Tunnel, Maçka Tunnel, Dim Tunnel (Antalya), Buruncuk Tunnel (İzmir), Erkenek Aça Tunnel (Malatya), Sarıtaş Tunnel (Hakkâri), Sabuncubeli Tunnel, Ovit Tunnel and Marmaray.

Among the tunnels planned to be completed between 2020-2022, Zigana Tunnel (Trabzon-Gümüşhane), Kop Tunnel (Erzurum-Bayburt), Dallıkavak Tunnel (Erzurum-İspir), Ilgar Tunnel (Ardahan-Hanak), Gallipoli-Eceabat tunnels (Çanakkale), Alacabel Tunnel (Konya-Antalya), Güzeldere Tunnel (Van-Hakkâri-Yüksekova) Aşık Festival Tunnel (Çıldır-Aktaş), Sertavul Tunnel (Konya-Karaman), Mediterranean Coastal Road tunnels, Kahramanmaraş-Kayseri tunnels, Karasu Tunnel.
Works continue in the Broken Tunnel, which connects Rize to Erzurum, one of the tunnels that have been realized due to snow. It is stated that the 6-kilometer Eğribel Double Tube Tunnel is completed by 42 percent. Realization in the Salarha Tunnel on the Black Sea Coastal Highway reached 37 percent.
