Thanks to the Izmir Customs Brokers Association, TCDD Izmir Port Operation, which took the measures requested due to the new type of coronavirus (Covit-19) epidemic that affected the world as soon as possible and showed exemplary work.
In the TCDD Izmir Port Operation Directorate, where no coronavirus has been detected until now, as well as the disinfection of the offices on a daily basis, the fires of employees and customers entering the port are measured and unmasked access is not allowed. Within the scope of Corona Virus measures, about 1500 vehicles per day are carried out in Izmir Port Operation Directorate without human contact and without filling any documents.
As of December 24, 2019, all cargoes to and from the Port Operation Directorate are carried out with Container Tracking System (KLTS) without human contact. Port receivables arising from these transactions are made through banks without contact.
