Can Immortal Jellyfish Be An Alternative For Coranavirus Treatment?

Could it be an alternative to negative jellyfish koranavirus treatment?

The jellyfish called 'Turritopsis nutricula' returns to 'polyp', which is the stage before it turns into jellyfish when it reaches the end of its life or when it cannot find conditions that can survive.

A creature that ravaged when it was first heard years ago… Turritopsis dohrnii, also known as “immortal jellyfish”. Unfortunately, when it was first popular, its name was also incorrectly known: Turritopsis was referred to as nutricula, and it also appeared in many sources. Whereas, practically immortal, it is the Turritopsis dohrnii species. This species is in the category of “biologically immortal beings”. Living creatures in this category never die unless they are subjected to physical violence, and they can technically survive forever! In this regard, it can be said that they are very interesting and interesting animals.

Billions of species have lived and are alive in the world. These include the family of animals, plants at the bottom of the food pyramid, creatures that are too small to be seen, and mushrooms that are neither plant nor microscopic but have been grabbed by either species. All these creatures are born, consume / produce, multiply and die. This is the cycle of nature.

But there are a few creatures that oppose this cycle. Living things that carry out all phases of the cycle, but bypass the "death" phase. Perhaps the strangest of these creatures is “Turritopsis dohrnii”, a kind of jellyfish. These jellyfish do not die from old age, as all other creatures can survive.

Turritopsis dohrnii, who owes these ingenuity to the structure of his cells, begins his life as a floating larva named "Planula" in the water like other types of his class. Once the larva has fully developed, it attaches to the sea layer and forms many "Polyp" here. Polyps, a branched form and a development phase of such jellyfish, that is, the life of the creature is considered to have started exactly at this point.

The buds on the branches of the sufficiently developed Polyps open and hundreds of jellyfish come out of them. At this point, the lively life of Turritopsis dohrnii begins. Turritopsis grows like every creature after the birth of dohrnii. It hunts and breeds until adulthood. If he is lucky, that is, if he is not killed by his hunters, he comes to the stage we define as "old age".

Things are normal up to this point, but after this phase it gets a little strange. The reproduced Turritopsis dohrnii literally deceive death. Turritopsis dohrnii, which changes the structure of all the cells in its body when it gets older, allows the cells to spend their last remaining energy on rejuvenation rather than improving themselves.

With this process, the younger jellyfish return to the stage where they started their life, that is, Polyp, which is steadily clinging like a plant in the sea layer. The jellyfish, which has been mated at this stage, not only allows the new jellyfish to reproduce with the progeny taken from its spouse, but also comes out of this form as a young jellyfish. In addition, Polyp can return to the stage not only in old age, but also in situations such as extreme stress, environmental factors, attack by other living things, and disease.

(Beginning from Polyp stage, respectively; Branched Polyp, newly born juvenile jellyfish, adult stage, jellyfish's stage of rejuvenation)

According to research, Turritopsis dohrnii, which can repeat this process forever, is considered biologically immortal. Since its discovery in 1996, scientists have been trying to adapt this invaluable feature hidden in the creatures' DNA.
