IMM started the washing and cleaning processes of 245 hospitals across the city. The works also include 739 vehicles and 2360 personnel. Apart from the hospitals, a total area of 232 football fields will be purified against coronavirus.
Continuing its works within the scope of combating coronavirus, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) started cleaning and washing once again in hospitals throughout the city. The works will continue day and night throughout the curfew, which was announced for the third time.
Hospitals and their surroundings, where the risk of spreading the virus is intense, will be purified with a total of 739 vehicles and 2360 personnel. In addition to washing, mechanical and hand sweeping operations will also be carried out.
245 HOSPITAL WILL BE WASHED
Accompanying the teams on the first day of the works, ISTAC Field Services Deputy General Manager Eyyup Demirhan informed that, for four days, 20 hospitals over 245 beds will be cleaned and washed, regardless of the public-private sector throughout the city. Demirhan said that 39 state and 89 private hospitals in 156 districts of Istanbul will be cleaned before the curfew ends.
A SIZE OF 232 FOOTBALL FIELD WILL BE CLEANED
On the other hand, IMM will continue cleaning and washing activities in public areas such as highways, squares, various public institutions, under and overpasses, bus stops, platforms, subway entrances, as well as hospitals, during the curfew period. For four days, it will purify an area the size of 232 football fields, one million 600 thousand square meters, against the risk of disease.
