Explaining that 136 thousand SMEs benefiting from KOSGEB's loan support program and continuing their payments to banks, postponed their loan installments in April, May and June for 3 months, President Erdoğan said that the deferral cost will be covered by KOSGEB.
COVID-19 MEASURES
The cabinet meeting, chaired by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, was held for the second time by video conferencing. During the meeting that President Erdogan attended from the Huber Mansion in Tarabya, the measures taken within the scope of combating the new type of coronavirus Covid-19 and their reflections on the economy were evaluated.
A NEW STEP
Making a statement after the meeting, President Erdoğan said, “We are adding a new one to the facilities we provide for tax, insurance and loan repayments. We also provide the opportunity to postpone bank loan payments to 136 thousand businesses that benefit from KOSGEB reimbursement as of April, May and June. KOSGEB will bear the cost of this delay. ” said.
CREDIT INSTALLMENTS DELAYED
With the regulation announced by President Erdoğan, a facility was brought to the enterprises that benefited from the loan support programs implemented by KOSGEB in order to support the real sector in order to reduce the effects of the Covid-19 outbreak. The loan installments of the enterprises, whose credit payments are continuing to the banks, were delayed for 3 months in April, May and June.
136 THOUSAND BUSINESS
Within the scope of KOSGEB's credit support programs, there are 136 thousand 255 businesses that use loans from banks. Their debts corresponding to April, May and June amount to 713 million TL.
FINANCE COST TO KOSGEB
Businesses will not pay any expenses in return for deferral. KOSGEB will cover the financing costs that will occur due to the delay.
