IETT established an innovation team in order to quickly adapt the institution to changing and developing conditions and to improve public transportation quality in Istanbul by making continuous improvements.
60 personnel, including manager, chief, engineer, technician, computer operator, dietician, supervisor, internal dispatcher, worker, driver, started to work in the innovation team. At the first stage, IETT's current Suggestion System and Innovation approach was reviewed, and ideas were collected from team members on system improvement and redesign of some parts. Team members explained the systems they designed.
In the next meetings, ideas will be developed on customer satisfaction, efficiency, work and passenger safety, energy and environment, service quality, integrated public transportation, sustainability, new technologies in products and services, employee satisfaction and social responsibility.
