Freight wagons produced by TÜDEMSAŞ are on the way to Austria

Turkey Railway Machines Industry Inc. in Sivas (TÜDEMSAŞ) produced by the 22 "New Generation Freight Wagon" headed to Austria to be delivered. There is also a demand from the countries such as Germany, England, Holland and Poland for the wagons that facilitate freight transportation.

The protocol for the production of 2019 150-foot Sggrs type container transport wagons signed by TÜDEMSAŞ and GökRail with the multinational logistics company GATX in 80 was updated upon request. Thus, the number of wagons to be produced for GATX was increased to 400 with the additional protocol. 22 of the wagons, which provide convenience in freight transportation in terms of technical features, were sent to Kapıkule Train Station to be delivered to Austria.

Founded in 1898 in Chicago, Illinois and providing wagon rental services in many regions of the world, the 80-foot, articulated, Sggrs type freight wagon produced for the international company GATX reaches 26,4 meters in length and 24 thousand 700 kilograms.

This wagon, which is lighter taper than its counterparts, can carry 4 20-foot or 2 40-foot containers at a time. While fully loaded, the wagons can reach a maximum speed of 100 kilometers per hour and can travel at 120 kilometers per hour when empty.
