The General Directorate of State Airports Authority has announced the airline, passenger and load statistics for February 2020.
Accordingly, in February 2020; The number of aircraft that land and take off at the airports; 62.040 on domestic and 39.877 on international flights. Total aircraft traffic served reached 133.548 with overpasses.
This month, Turkey serving domestic passenger traffic at airports across 6.852.005, international passenger traffic was 5.417.605. Thus, total passenger traffic with direct transit passengers was realized as 12.269.610 in the said month.
Airports freight (cargo, postal and luggage) traffic; In February, it reached a total of 57.124 tons, including 208.237 tons in domestic lines and 265.361 tons in international lines.
According to the 2-month (January-February) realizations;
Aircraft landing and taking off to airports became 128.558 on domestic flights and 84.040 on international flights. Thus, a total of 278.670 aircraft were serviced with overpasses.
Turkey 14.657.013 of the overall domestic passenger traffic airports, where 11.549.303 of international passengers traffic in this period amounted to 26.237.651 direct transit passengers with total passenger traffic together.
During the period in question, the freight (cargo, post and baggage) traffic of the airports; 118.022 tons in domestic lines and 419.921 tons in international lines.
31.560 AIRCRAFT AND 4.603.457 PASSENGER SERVICES AT ISTANBUL AIRPORT IN FEBRUARY
The aircraft traffic that landed and departed at the Istanbul Airport in February was 7.642 in domestic flights and 23.918 in international flights, with a total of 31.560.
Passenger traffic was 1.096.901 for domestic flights and 3.506.556 for international flights.
66.649 aircraft and 9.879.717 passenger traffic were realized at Istanbul Airport in two months (January-February).
In the first two months of 2020, there were 4.769 aircraft traffic at Istanbul Atatürk Airport, where general aviation activities and cargo transportation continued.
Thus, a total of 71.418 aircraft traffic occurred in these two airports in the same period.
