Bursa Metropolitan Municipality adds a new one to Bursa's efforts to get more shares from sea tourism. Güzelyalı Yacht Harbor, which was completed in 2003 by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, was handed over to the Metropolitan Municipality by the ministry, and the port will be used for the recreation and tourism needs of Mudanians as well as the accommodation and backyard services of yachts.

In order to highlight the identity of Bursa's coastal city and to ensure that it gets the share it deserves from summer tourism, the hand of the Metropolitan Municipality, which has been working intensely on the sea coast about 115 kilometers at the borders of Mudanya, Gemlik and Karacabey, is also worth the Güzelyalı Yacht Harbor. The Güzelyalı Yacht Harbor and the Yacht Harbor part of the Fishermen's Shelter, the construction of which was completed in 2003 by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure, were transferred to Bursa Metropolitan Municipality. The Yacht Harbor, whose total main jetty length is 485 meters, the berth is 325 meters, the total area is 32 square meters and the total concrete area is 10 thousand square meters, will be transferred to the metropolitan district, while the Fishermen's Shelter section will be under the responsibility of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.

The port will be modernized

Bursa Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Alinur Aktaş, along with his accompanying Park and Gardens Department Chairman Hakan Bebek and Burulaş General Manager Mehmet Kürşat Çapar, made examinations in Güzelyalı Yacht Port, which was transferred by the ministry. Reminding that each district of Bursa has a distinctive feature, Mayor Aktaş emphasized that Mudanya is also a district that is important for the sea together with Gemlik and Karacabey. Stating that Güzelyalı Yacht Harbor is also used extensively by yacht owners in the summer months, Mayor Aktaş said, “The development plans of Mudanya Güzelyalı Yacht Harbor and the Fishermen's Shelter have been approved by our Ministry of Environment and Urbanization. According to the approved plan, the Marina part was transferred to our Metropolitan Municipality by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. This place serves an important function for the recreation and tourism needs of Mudanians beside the accommodation and backward services of yachts, but I hope we will develop this further. We will further regulate the areas here. We will make a better arrangement without any trouble, ”he said.
