Yakut Neighborhood Cut Off by the Railway Will Relax with the Underpass

Yakut Neighborhood, which is cut by the railway line, and the surrounding neighborhoods will take a breath. Mayor of Kayseri Metropolitan Municipality Memduh Büyükkılıç stated that they are working to make citizens move more comfortably and comfortably in terms of transportation and announced that an underpass project will be implemented at the point that will connect Yakut Neighborhood and Fuzuli Junction, which is cut by the railway line.

In his statement, Mayor Büyükkılıç noted that transportation is among the most important agenda items in the growing and developing city of Kayseri.

Stating that they are carrying out studies on the basis of citizen satisfaction in all regions of the city that provide development and increase the population density, Büyükkılıç said that they want the Yakut Neighborhood, which has reached more than 10 thousand people, to integrate with the city and to reach much easier transportation with the surrounding neighborhoods.

Stating that the Metropolitan Municipality has started work on the 1.5 kilometer long road and the road platform has been established, Büyükkılıç said, “Since the route intersects with the state railway line, it is necessary to make an underpass in the intersection area where Yakut District and Fuzuli Street meet. Rapid and effective meetings were held with the General Directorate of Roads. With the logic of 'following the business of Kayseri', it was decided to focus on the issue with determination and to make the underpass by TCDD with the sincere approach of our General Manager Ali İhsan Uygun. The subject has been included in the investment program by TCDD and project studies have been started. I would like to thank to TCDD General Manager Ali İhsan Uygun and other interested parties. Underpass works will be started as soon as possible in the region where metropolitan teams continue their road construction works. ”

Mayor Büyükkılıç pointed out that the traffic load on Mustafa Kemal Pasa Boulevard will be reduced with the project that will also increase the integration between north and south of the city, and that transportation will be much faster and more comfortable with the new road with a diameter of 30 meters.
