Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy traveled from Erzurum to Kars with the Eastern Express.
Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Culture and Tourism, who came to Erzurum from Istanbul by plane, went to Kars with the press representatives. Minister Ersoy, who traveled from Erzurum to the Sarıkamış district of Kars with the Eastern Express, made examinations in Çıldır Lake on the second day of the program.

Minister Ersoy, who set out from here to go to Kars with the Eastern Express, was accompanied by AK Party Deputy Ahmet Arslan and Deputy Yunus Kılıç from the previous Ministers. Minister Ersoy met with the leading NGOs of the region in the evening; He evaluated the efforts to increase the tourism potential of the city. Minister Ersoy and journalists toured Çıldır Lake on the second day of the program. Minister Ersoy, who was riding the sleigh in Çıldır Lake, which is the second largest lake in Eastern Anatolia and whose surface is completely covered with ice during the winter, fished with nets in the lake where Eskimo was fishing and took a souvenir photo with its guests.
Minister Ersoy later made statements to journalists; He started his speech by wishing God's mercy to those who lost their lives in the earthquake that occurred in the west of Iran and affecting Van, wishing condolences to their relatives.
“There is a serious growth in the tourism potential of Kars,” Minister Ersoy said, “We came with the Touristic Eastern Express together with the press members. We also visited the Sarıkamış Ski Center. There are some needs here. We evaluated these with tourism investors and Provincial Special Administration teams. After creating the required feasibility reports, we will decide. ” He used his expressions.
Minister Ersoy stated that Kars has two important tourism potentials and said:
“One of them is Sarıkamış Ski Center and the other is a tourism potential created by visiting the historical and visual places of both shopping and visiting places by staying on Kars for a few days by coming from the train. We discuss how we can diversify and develop them. There is a serious growth in the tourism potential of Kars and the number of visitors. We hope this will continue increasingly in the coming years. ”
Saying that he came to Çıldır Lake for the first time, Minister Ersoy said, “There is both a sleigh pleasure and the opportunity to catch fish here. In fact, this can be made a very important potential, it can also be brought in terms of tourism. Obviously, we need to turn this into a tourism economy. ” he spoke.
