Ankara Metropolitan Municipality doubled its disinfection and sterilization efforts against the risk of epidemics in Rail Systems, Family Living Centers, Youth Centers and AŞTİ, where thousands of passengers travel every day.
"In order to protect the health of our citizens and protect them from possible epidemic diseases, necessary measures have been taken in common areas, especially in public transport, in cooperation with the relevant authorities of our state," said President Mansur Yavas. Metropolitan Municipality also hung warning posters against viruses and epidemics in many parts of the city.
Ankara Metropolitan Municipality, which prioritizes the public health, has increased the cleaning and disinfection works in public transportation vehicles that serve throughout the capital city so that citizens can travel in a healthier, cleaner and hygienic environment.
In Ankara, where approximately 800 thousand passengers use EGO buses and 400 thousand passengers use Rail systems every day, public transportation vehicles are daily disinfected and sterilized.
Ankara Metropolitan Mayor Yavaş said in a statement he made on social media in order to minimize the risk of epidemic disease, which is effective in recent days, "We will continue our work with the utmost care in cooperation with the relevant authorities of our state."
COMMUNITY HEALTH PRIORITY
Pointing out that the Metropolitan Municipality has taken priority measures to protect the health of citizens, Mayor Yavaş said, “In order to protect our citizens from possible epidemic diseases, necessary measures have been taken in common use areas, especially in public transportation vehicles”.
The works, which are regularly inspected under the coordination of the Metropolitan Municipality General Secretariat and the Department of Health Affairs, are carried out meticulously. Environmental Protection and Control Department teams; ANKARAY carries out internal and external cleaning works on EGO and Private Public Buses, especially Metro and Teleferik. Especially passenger seats, back and bottom of the seats, buttons, passenger handles, glass edges and ventilation covers and common areas are sprayed against the viruses that can cause respiratory diseases.
Buses and Rail systems, which are controlled with ATP bacteria measurement device, are disinfected until the negative values detected are reset.
INTENSIVE DRUGS IN FAMILY LIFE CENTERS
AŞTİ, who examined the disinfection works at the Rail Systems and Family Life Centers on the spot, stated that they have doubled their routine cleaning works, and stated that they have doubled their routine cleaning works:

WAYS TO PROTECT VIRUSES
Approved by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Ministry of Health, the Metropolitan Municipality, which tightens the spraying works with odorless products that do not harm the environment and human health, especially in the context of the fight against increasing epidemic diseases due to the winter season, as well as the public areas and public transportation vehicles of the city;
