Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality February parliamentary meeting was held at Leyla Atakan Cultural Center. In the meeting held under the chairmanship of President Tahir Büyükakın, the implementation plan of the tram line to be extended to the City Hospital was recorded in the plans. Mayor Büyükakın was authorized to make a protocol for the 500 thousand lira, which will be given after the approval of the Municipalities Union to the Barrier-Free Public Transport Assistant project in the Assembly.
The City Hospital Tram Line, which will be undertaken by the Ministry of Health and planned to be built by the Ministry of Transport, was entered into the zoning plans. The 1/5000 and 1/1000 development plans of the line came unanimously from the Zoning and Public Works Commission. With the line being included in the zoning plans, tender works will be initiated by the Ministry of Transport. The tender work is expected to be completed and the construction process will begin until May.
