Significant progress was made in the water and land connection points after the offshore works. In Sütlüce and Şekerkaya construction sites, the tower blocks continue to be placed on top of each other after the mounting of the ligament beams with the help of a crane on the bridge legs.
With the placement of the blocks in the sea, the feet of the bridge rise and the red and white colors symbolizing the Turkish flag are clearly visible, while the 18th of the 32 blocks is completed by 56,3 percent.
The project was originally designed as a bridge that only wheeled vehicles can cross. With the instruction of the then Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Lütfi Elvan, the project was changed to a bridge on which the tire wheeled vehicle and the railway will pass.
Kınalı - Tekirdağ - Çanakkale - Savaştepe Highway Route Malkara - Çanakkale Highway (including the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge) will start from the Kınalı-1 Junction region of Istanbul - Edirne Highway. Later, the route, which goes west between Marmara Ereğlisi and Çorlu settlements, continues to the north of Tekirdağ provincial center, after going from the south of Malkara, from the north of Şarköy, it will go to the southwest and reach the Gelibolu Peninsula from the east of Evreşe. The highway, which runs through the north of Bolayır and Gallipoli, will reach the 1915 Çanakkale Bridge between Sütlüce and Şekerkaya.
It was announced on March 3, 2016 by the Minister of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, Binali Yıldırım, that the name of the bridge was the Çanakkale 1915 Bridge, the span between the towers will be 100 meters in accordance with the 2023th anniversary of the Republic  and will be put into service until 2023.
