AK Party Samsun Provincial Chairman Ersan Aksu gave information about when the Samsun-Ankara High Speed Line will be opened. Aksu said that it will be 2 hours between Samsun and Ankara by High Speed Train.
AK Party Samsun Provincial Chairman Ersan Aksu said that the 400-km modernization of the Samsun-Sivas railway line connecting Samsun Port to the Central Anatolia Region has been completed, test drives continue and will be opened to transportation this year.
Noting that the entire Samsun-Sivas railway line, the construction of which started in 1926 and opened in 1932, was modernized for the first time, President Aksu said, “The old railways were far behind today's technology as well as creating a negative image in terms of scatter in city centers. With the project prepared, approximately 88 kilometers of railway lines with a history of 400 years have achieved an infrastructure suitable for today's technology with signaling at EU standards, both rail technology and other modernizations. All bridges, tunnels and infrastructure on this line route have been completely modernized. Some of the 41 stations and stops, 39 tunnels, 8 avalanche galleries, 41 bridges, 78 of which are historical, 1054 culverts, 3 underpasses and 2 overpasses have been restored, some have been completely renovated. The railway line has been modernized by spending 400 million Euros. ”
TRANSPORTATION WILL BE OPENED THIS YEAR
Stating that modernization works were started in 2015 and planned to be completed in 32 months, Aksu said, “The renewal of the line was planned in the last 10 years. The project was prepared, it was tendered and works started in 2015. However, there was a delay due to unpredictable floods, landslides and disasters. The railway line, which is currently under test runs, will be available soon. ”
CARGO AND PASSENGER TRANSPORTATION
The Samsun-Sivas line of Aksu President stressed that modernize the AK Party period takes place, "Samsun is currently road, air, in the Black Sea with possession of property within the maritime and rail transport only, is one of the few cities in Turkey. We should state that our city is very lucky with this feature. This line will continue to play an important role in both freight and passenger transport. The renewed railway line will make a significant contribution to Samsun, especially in the areas of transportation, trade and employment. ”

Stating that Samsun Port is of great importance in terms of trade, Mayor Ersan Aksu said, “Samsun is a city with high potential in every respect. It is among the logistics cities in our country with many features. The re-opening of the railway is important both in terms of commercial transportation and the travel of our citizens. Our citizens will make their travel more comfortable. We have always competed with ourselves on the way of serving our nation. The railway line that was renewed and to be opened for transportation again this year will be beneficial to our country and nation ”.
FAST TRAIN PROJECT
Referring to the Samsun-Ankara High Speed Line Line works, President Aksu said, “Our President and President. Work is underway to complete the high-speed train project, which was given by the gospel of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. The location of the high speed train station in Samsun is in Canik. Its location was determined. When the project is completed, it will be possible to go from Samsun to Ankara in 2 hours. This project will also have important contributions to our city. ”
