President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan made investigations in the Galataport Project. President Erdoğan moved from his residence in Kısıklı to the Galataport Project in Beyoğlu. Receiving information about the ongoing project, Erdogan was welcomed by Ferit Şahenk, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Doğuş Group.
Vice President Fuat Oktay, Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister of Environment and Urbanization Murat Kurum, Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Cahit Turhan also attended the visit.
President Erdoğan will then attend the first rail welding ceremony of Gayrettepe Istanbul Airport Metro.
About the Galataport Project
Galataport or Tuesday Market Cruise Port Project A port and urban transformation project located on the coastline between Karaköy Wharf and the building of Mimar Sinan University Fındıklı Campus. The project aims to build a new cruise terminal, waiting areas, ticketing counters, areas of use for government authorities, duty free shops, technical areas, hotels, restaurants and other commercial businesses.
