The construction activities in Kanal Istanbul will take 2 thousand 425 days. During this period, channel excavation, surface coating and stream connections will be made. Works that will start at the north and south of the channel at the same time will meet a point. It is envisaged that parts will be assembled in 30 days. It will take 180 days for the channel to be accepted and put into operation. According to the workflow, all work is planned to be completed on February 18, 2026.

Field works, application projects, mobilization and construction roads are expected to be completed within 540 days.

For 752 days, construction of clean water and wastewater lines, treatment plants, power transmission lines, treatment plant, roads and bridges will be completed. Railway, oil and gas pipelines, Terkos - Alibeyköy anchovy line will be reorganized in 1128 days.

In 180 days, Sazlıdere Dam will be emptied. On the other hand, with the excavation to be extracted from Kanal Istanbul for 900 days, 38 kilometers long hail areas will be created in the Black Sea.
