For this reason, Reminding that the "Rail Transport Technologies Institute" was established in partnership with TCDD and TÜBİTAK, Varank said, "We will both develop the technologies we need and conduct basic research on future technologies." used the expression.


Varank, pointing to eliminate the dependence locomotive of Turkey abroad with products produced by the two institutions, "Now it's high-speed train. We believe that we will write the success story under the coordination of the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure by including private sector companies in this regard. Today, Turkish companies can export trams and light subways to Europe, and sell products to subway tenders. By combining all of these, we will write a success story in rail transportation systems.

Minister Varank said that in 2023, the first prototype of the national high-speed train was intended to be on the tracks.
