  • January 4, 1871 The official opening ceremony of the Yedikule Küçükçekmece line was held. The people showed great interest in the ceremony attended by the Grand Vizier. Some of the public apartments were on holiday. As the first line of Rumeli Railways was opened, Baron Hirsch, the concession holder, was awarded the Order of Mecidiye of the first rank.
  • January 4, 1921 Ankara Eskişehir line was completely allocated for military transport.
