Antalya Metropolitan Municipality has radically solved the transportation problem on the Kargicak-Mahmutlar-Alanya line, for which citizens have been waiting for a solution for years. With the incorporation of 26 public buses into Alanya Private Public Buses, reciprocal flights between Kargicak and Mahmutlar will start as of Monday, January 6th. The long-term negotiations between Antalya Metropolitan Municipality Transportation and Rail Systems Department Head Nurettin Tonguç and Alanya Minibuses Chamber President Doğan Bacak, Alanya Public Bus Cooperative, Mahmutlar and Kargicak Public Bus Cooperatives have been resolved. With the agreement of the parties and the decision of UKOME, 26 public buses serving in Kargicak and Mahmutlar will start to operate under the body of Alanya Private Public Buses.
INCLUDED IN THE POOL SYSTEM
A public bus will depart from Kargıcak and Mahmutlar from Monday 6 January 2020 to the Dinek Quarter on the west exit of Alanya. Likewise, Alanya Public Buses will carry passengers up to Kargicak. With the decision of merger, regional cooperatives will work under Alanya Private Public Bus Cooperative and enter the pool system created. A citizen from Kargicak and Mahmutlar had to take two buses to go to a place in the western part of Alanya. With the new system, the citizen will now have the chance to go anywhere with a single bus.
