Turkish Firms in Slovenia's Divaca-Koper Railway Line Tender

Slovenian state railway company 2DTK announced that it received a total of 29 bids for the tender for the first and second parts of the Divaca-Koper railway line. All but one of 15 candidates for the first lot submitted bids for the second bid. In the statement made by 2DTK, the first lot of 15 offers were received for the episode from Divaca to Crni Kal, while the second lot received 14 offers from Crni Kal to Koper.

The following companies submitted bids for the first lot:

4- China Civil Engineering Construction Company;
5-China Communication Construction Company;
6-Austrian Marti GmbH, Marti Tunnel AG from Switzerland and TuCon Consortium in Slovakia;
Turkey's Interior 7-İçtaş construction and Bosnia's Euro-Asphalt consortium;
8- Slovenia's Gorenjska Gradbena Druzba and CGP and Czech company Metrostav consortium;
9-China Power Construction Company;
10-Italian Impresa Pizzarotti, Spain Acciona and Slovenia Makro 5 Gradnje consortium;
Turkey's construction and Unitek Y-11 construction consortium;
12-China Railway;
13-Austrian Swietelsky;
14-Austrian Strabag consortium, Germany Ed. Züblin AG and Turkey's Gülermak;

2DTK said the procedure for selecting winning bids will take place in two stages. In the first, while the candidates' ability to realize the project is evaluated, in the second stage, the bids submitted will be evaluated. The European Investment Bank approved a loan of 250 million Euros for the construction of the second line of the Divaca-Koper railway line.

Operating in Slovenia's Adriatic Koper port, Luka Koper will complete the second railway line to Divaca in January 2019 by 2025, and will be operational the following year.

According to the information published by 2DTK, the investment in the project will total around 1.2 billion euros. The company will reach a new 27-kilometer long road and a total of 231 trains or 43.4 million net tons of cargo per year.
