However, the new face and new vision of our railways lies at the heart of the Eastern Express so much popularity. The Eastern Express, which once carried only 20 to 30 thousand passengers a year, hosted over 200 thousand passengers three years ago; Last year, this number was 437 thousand is the result of this excitement. In addition, as our citizens see the beauties of our country and taste their cultural richness, this excitement spreads. This beautiful interest is reflected in our other express tours. Vangölü Express, which was almost not used in previous years, has hosted exactly 269 thousand passengers last year.
Therefore, we take our precautions regarding our other express services in line with the demands of our citizens. Accordingly, we started the Lakes Express, which connects the Mediterranean and the Aegean with rails, but was removed 10 years ago because of not being used. The Lake Express, where we renew the infrastructure and increase the comfort, started to travel mutually every day with an average travel time of 8 hours and 30 minutes and a capacity of 262 passengers. This express will be indispensable for the passengers between the Mediterranean and the Aegean. Nobody will worry about not finding bus tickets on their way to Izmir, Denizli, Burdur, Aydin. I hope this exciting service will be beneficial for those who will benefit from the service in our region.
