At the same time, we believe that businessmen will come from Ankara and Istanbul in order to invest in Sivas due to its fast transportation. When there is investment, we will not talk about unemployment anymore. ”

Sivas Cumhuriyet University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Department of Econometrics Professor. Dr. Ahmet Sengönül, Sivas, Ankara-Sivas High Speed Train will serve between the positive expectations, he said.

Şengönül emphasized that in case of commencement of the flights, there will be increases in the economy, culture and tourism in Sivas. “I think that the businessmen will invest in Sivas after the fast train starts. Land and labor costs are quite high in big cities. In Sivas, land and employment costs are low. Therefore, the high-speed train will bring new investors to Sivas, Sivas he said.

Sengönül transfers our future to Sivas and Kayseri at the economic point, and made researches on the social and economic effects of high-speed train to Sivas. When the economic effects of high-speed train are analyzed, when all sectors are examined individually and as a whole, if the high-speed train arrives in our city, we have come to the conclusion that the city will be in a better position compared to its economic targets in trade, transportation, tourism, service, health and education sectors. We have reached the conclusion that the High Speed train will have a positive impact on the economy of Sivas at around 14 percent. With the arrival of the high-speed train to Sivas, there is a positive expectation of 90 percent that living spaces will enrich and become an investment center. It can be expected that new settlements, which will emerge as a result of population mobility, labor and capital mobility between the west and east, and Sivas will benefit from the state incentives, and therefore new investments will be expected and an increase in employment will be expected. In addition, the expected improvement in the transportation, education and health sectors after high-speed train is 20 percent, 17 percent and 15 percent, respectively, which are 14 percent above the expected overall average recovery rate.

While the improvement in the expected targets after the high-speed train in the tourism sector was the same as the average value with 14 percent, the services and trade sectors had a lower than average expectation with 12 percent and 8 percent recovery expectations. This ranking can be considered as a ranking that should be taken into consideration in terms of investment priority and necessary measures to be taken. It is foreseen that vicious cycles in provinces like Sivas, which have not been able to record significant distances in development, can be broken by high-speed trains that can bring such important changes to city life. People who want to make the most of the convenience of high-speed train will move their homes to the business districts so that new settlements and business centers will be formed. Kul (Sivas Will)
