Kayseri Derevenk Bridge, which was manufactured by Freysaş using the balanced console method, was put into service with the opening ceremony held by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and the accompanying delegation.
The project, whose opening date is planned as December 31, 2019, was completed approximately 2 and a half months ago thanks to the innovative construction methods used. The opening of Derevenk Viaduct was realized by President Recep Tayyip ERDOĞAN. Minister of Transport and Infrastructure M. Cahit TURHAN, Minister of Environment and Urbanization Murat KURUM, Minister of National Education Ziya SELÇUK, Minister of National Defense Hulusi AKAR, General Director of Highways Abdulkadir URALOĞLU, and deputies, bureaucrats and citizens attended the opening ceremony.
With the commissioning of Derevenk Viaduct, one of the important crossing points of Kayseri South Ring Road, a safe flow of transit traffic and a quality transportation link with the surrounding provinces were provided.
The Southern Ring Road Project provides transit transportation between Nevşehir, Niğde, Aksaray in the west of Kayseri and Malatya and Kahramanmaraş provinces in the east without entering the city traffic. With the commissioning of the project, the connection of Kayseri and Talas district with the east was provided by the shortest route with a high standard, while Pınarbaşı-Talas was shortened by 3 km. With the increase of the geometric and physical features of the road, the travel time was reduced by 20 minutes, while the exhaust emissions of the vehicles were reduced, and maintenance-operation, fuel and depreciation expenses were saved, contributing to the national economy.
