İZBAN is one of the largest urban rail public transportation systems with airport connection in our country, serving on the suburban line between Aliağa and Selçuk. The number of stations of the fast transportation vehicle, which has tens of thousands of visitors every day, first increased to 32 with the opening of the Hilal, and to 38 with the opening of the Torbalı line right after. İZBAN, with its station number of 41 together with the lines opened later, is the rail system of İzmir that takes the greatest burden from the public transportation aspect. The line operated in cooperation with TCDD and Izmir Metropolitan Municipality 136 kilometers long.

İZBAN Transfer Stations

From Halkapınar and Hilal stations to İzmir subway; Buses can be transferred from Alsancak, Biçerova, Cumaovası, Çiğli, Egekent, Esbaş, Halkapınar, Hatundere, Kemer, Mavişehir, Menemen, Salhane, Sarnic, District Garage, Sirinyer, Turan and Ulukent stations. Adnan Menderes Airport can be reached from the station of the same name to the south of the line. Alaybey, Alsancak, Halkapınar and Mavişehir stations can be transferred to tram lines.

İZBAN, which operates the 136 km suburban line between Aliağa and Selçuk, has 40 stations along the route. It is known as the North axis between Aliağa and Menemen, the central axis between Menemen and Cumaovasi, and the south axis between Cumaovası-Tepeköy-Selçuk.

IZBAN, which commenced its journey to pre-operation in 30 in August 2010, was established by TCDD and 50 partnerships of Izmir Metropolitan Municipality. İZBAN Trains

Spanish CAF firm awarded thirty-three EMU train tenders in March 2008 kazanwas. In April 2010, trains started to arrive in Turkey. İZBAN, which was put into service on 30 August 2010, had twenty-four wagons at that time. In August 2011, ten E23000 train sets were temporarily rented from TCDD. Forty EMU trains were purchased from South Korean Hyundai Rotem in March 2012. The people of Izmir determined the design of these trains, which were announced to be delivered in three years. The current set number of İZBAN is 73 and the number of wagons is 219.

İZBAN train sets consist of three wagons, with a capacity of 2.250 people and can reach a maximum speed of 140 kilometers per hour. Train sets are 70 meters long, 2,95 meters wide and 3,85 meters high. Since the flights are made with double or triple sets, the length of the trains reaches at least 140 meters and maximum 210 meters. It has been announced that E32000 train sets with ten wagons produced for Marmaray will be used in İZBAN as of August 2017. It was announced that there would be seventy-five wagons, nine of which were double-decker, to be used.
