77 YEARS OF MEMORIES WASTED
In the interview, moderated by Bülent Alıcı, Chairman of the EGO Board of Inspectors, retired EGO General Managers shared their memories of their time and made the journey to the past almost complete.
EGO General Manager Nihat Alkaş said that they prioritized citizen satisfaction in the capital and that they used smart transportation systems and information technologies effectively.
Bu Our reputable organization, which dates back to the founding period of the Republic and whose roots date back to that date, provided very useful services to Ankara, the Capital of the Republic. Ankara's even become a brand that we all know in the transport area of Turkey. We have the chance to see the service we have for citizens in the same time, positive or negative reflections and this is something that excites people. We will improve the service quality and make transportation more secure. ”
“EGO FIRST SUCCESS”
Herdem Music Group and Street Artists also gave a concert at the reception organized after the celebration program, where the plaques of success were presented to retired EGO General Managers and retired personnel in 2019.
Retired EGO General Manager Ethem Özbakır said that after 25 years it was a pleasure to be remembered. “We did important works in Metro, Ankaray and Natural Gas in our own period. I find this period quite successful. Mansur Yavaş will overcome the difficulties and give nice services to the people of Ankara. From the first day to the present, EGO has achieved firsts. I believe Mansur Yavaş will perform very successful works. ”
Retired EGO General Manager Cihan Altınöz expressed his feelings in these words:
“It is an honor to be remembered and invited to this program years later. We've seen good intentions that serious work will be done here. So we got up to the invitation in case we had a little contribution. I wish success to our Municipality and EGO. I believe that good work will be done. ”
Celebrating its 77th anniversary, EGO General Directorate brought a 1987 municipal bus in front of the Metropolitan Municipality and provided guests with nostalgia.
