'WE WANT JUSTICE'
Relatives and injured of those who died in the accident came to the hearing about 1 kilometer from Çorlu Public Education Center and came on foot. Families carrying photographs of those who died in their hands shouted slogans such as "Right, law, justice" and "Murder, not accident".
Zehra Bilgin, who lost her daughter Bihter Bilgin, her sisters Emel Duman and Derya Kurtuluş, said, “It has been 520 days today. We have been waiting for justice for 520 days. Nobody is protected. If anyone is in these neglect chains, from the lowest to the highest level. If a minister is responsible, both the minister and the director should be tried and the lowest level staff should be judged. All we want is justice. ”
Detained defendants Turgut Kurt, Özkan Polat, Celaleddin Çabuk, Çetin Yıldırım, families of the deceased, injured, lawyers attended the hearing. Lawyer Can Atalay, who took the first word in the hearing after the identification, stated that the court decided to ask the list of faculty members to create a new expert with expert qualifications from the universities. In this way, it is unacceptable to avoid public office. Yıldız Technical University has not even responded to the war. ”
The hearing continued with the statements of the companions. 'WHO KILLED MY FATHER UNDER THE JUDGE'
Saliha Erbil, who lost his accident wife Salih Erbil, attended the hearing with his daughters Gülgen and Gülşen. Gülgen Erbil said, “I went to my grandparents. There is a little rain, how can this accident happen, uncle? Who killed 25 people, uncle judge? Did your father die at this age? Uncle judge, there is neglect. Such a train accident does not happen in this rain. Who killed my father, uncle? ” he spoke. Upon these words of Little Gülgen, those in the hall could not control their tears.
'THE JUDGE HAS SAYED TO PURPOSE THE UNCLE'
Speaking after his daughter, Saliha Erbil stated that the little girls wanted to come to court after telling their daughters that they had entrusted your father's blood to the uncle, and said, “My daughters constantly say they miss their father. I said, I entrusted them to your uncle who dominated your father's blood. My children said we would ask the uncle who dominated me ourselves. They said we'll come ourselves. I am complaining on behalf of my children. I am complaining from top to bottom, ”he said.
Intervening Remzi Güvenç said, “I lost my two daughters and two grandchildren. All under the ground. I want to be involved in the case, I am complaining. ” Later, the court committee promised those who were not named in the indictment and wanted to be involved in the case.
'AUTHORIZED IN THE REGIONAL MANAGERR
In his statement at the hearing, Turgut Kurt, one of the defendants, said that the inclusion of the culverts in the maintenance programs is under the authority of the regional manager. Explaining that engineers are conducting exploration work in the field, Kurt said, “In engineering works, our engineers undertake damage assessment. According to him, intervention is made to missing and defective places. Engineers did not see the need for a ballast holder in the place where the incident took place, ”he said.
The defendant Özkan Polat said that after the discovery of the engineers attached to the maintenance directorate, the intervention was deemed necessary.
Celalettin Çabuk, who said he did not participate in any exploration work, claimed that the procedures were beyond him and he did not take part in the exploration works.
