Intercity High Speed ​​Express Comes; The Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure will start operating new High Speed ​​Train (YHT) lines in 2020 and will launch express services on the YHT routes to improve efficiency.

HürriyetEray Görgülü'nun according to the news; The ministry will prepare a new business model and express flights between major cities will be organized on YHT routes. YHT line length will also be increased from 2020 kilometers to 1213 thousand 2 kilometers in 269. In this context, Ankara-Sivas YHT line will be one of the lines commissioned in 2020 year. The modernization and infrastructure improvement works of the railways will be continued and 2 thousand 657 kilometers of electricity and 2 thousand 654 kilometers of signal will be invested in the existing lines.


Within 2020, new railway lines will be completed and put into service. In this direction Halkalı- Kapıkule Railway Project will be completed to serve the manufacturing industry and export opportunities in the region will be increased and transportation costs will be reduced. The Konya-Gaziantep railway line will be completed and access to the manufacturing industry sectors of Adana, Mersin and İskenderun ports will be facilitated. Konya-Karaman railway project will be completed signaling works and freight and passenger transport will begin. Adana-Mersin 3. and 4. calligraphy, 1. and 2. construction of line rehabilitation and Çukurova Airport connection project. On the other hand, Gaziantep-Habur railway project will provide logistics services to Habur Border Crossing. Within this scope, the study-project works of Gaziantep-Mardin railway project will be completed. The final project of Torbali-Alsancak Port railway project will be completed. Gebze-Sabiha Gökçen-Yavuz Sultan Selim Bridge-Istanbul Airport-Halkalı the final project of the railway will be completed and the construction tender will be held.
