The annual transportation of 7,172 trains connected to 9991 stations across the country in India is about 8421 million people. The number of passengers carried on the railways is even higher than that of some countries. 5. Train Station with a Single Passenger
Do you think a state keeps a train line open so that it does not suffer a single citizen? While this seems impossible to many of you, it happened in Japan. The number of people arriving at the train station on the island of Hokkaido, in the northernmost part of Japan, which was once a functioning place, decreased over time. And in the end, there was only one person who used the two-station line regularly: a high school girl. The Japanese Railways operating the line noticed the situation three years ago. However, although the line is hurting, it was decided to operate the line at a loss so that the high school student is not a victim. Even the train's arrival and departure times are arranged according to the school hours of the girl. The student whose name of the train line with a single passenger is not announced will continue to work until graduation. With this feature, this train line in Japan is the only one in the world.
