KARDEMİR Receives First Prize in Sustainable Production

KARDEMİR has been awarded "KIDEMİR Localization and Sustainable Production Performance" in the "Large Scale Enterprise Sustainable Production" category at the 2019 Efficiency Project Awards organized by the Ministry of Industry and Technology to support the efficiency efforts in the enterprises to increase the competitiveness of our country and to promote the projects carried out in this field. ”Was awarded the first prize for his project.

The projects that are entitled to the award were determined in three categories: SME, Large Enterprises and Public. As a result of the preliminary evaluation and on-site inspection conducted by independent auditors, our company was selected as the first among 8 finalists in the “Large Scale Businesses Sustainable Production” category. The 2019 Productivity Project Awards, which aim to support the increase in productivity in businesses and contribute to the spread of efficiency awareness and good practice examples, were distributed to their owners with a ceremony held at Ankara KOSGEB Administration.

The Company's first prize in the Large-Scale Enterprise Sustainable Production Category for the project irme Raw Material Localization and Improving Sustainable Production Performances ”was given by Hasan Büyükdede, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology and Muhsin Dere, Deputy Minister of National Defense. Hüseyin Soykan was presented.

In his speech at the award ceremony, Hasan Büyükdede, Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology, pointed out that the issue of productivity is a social responsibility that everyone should fulfill for a lifetime, and said that the productivity development of enterprises will strengthen the country's competitiveness. Stating that 181 of the applications made to the Productivity Awards this year were taken into consideration, Büyükdede said that one of the most important reasons for the development difference between countries is the level of awareness about efficiency, and the majority of competitive enterprises contributed to the strengthening of countries.

In 2015, our company was deemed worthy of the second prize in the category of “Large Scale Process Improvement” with the “Increasing the Continuous Rolling Mill Operation Efficiency Project” and the third prize in 2018 with the “Increasing Production Quality and Efficiency Project in the Ray Profil Rolling Mill”.
