High Speed Internet Comes to Trains in Russia; The Russian National Technology Initiative (NTI) plans to equip Russian trains and aircraft with high-speed Internet.
SputniknewsAccording to the news in; “The wireless system will comply with current satellite and mobile communication standards (3G, 4G, and 5G),” the press release from the Russian National Technology Initiative press service said.
Sergey Zhukov, co-chairman of the Aeronet working group, said there will be a gateway on airplanes and trains that will allow users to connect to the high-speed Internet through any interface, including WiFi and 4G.
The first tests of the new communication system are scheduled for the year 2022. The system will feature an 150 signal booster, each with an 10 mileage radius.
