SME Stations Fee Schedule and Member Transactions: Kobis is the name of bicycle rental system in order to facilitate urban access within the boundaries of Kocaeli, to create intermediate facilities nurturing public transportation systems and to encourage the use of an environmentally and sustainable transportation vehicle. 23, Kartepe 3, Başiskele 2, Darıca 1, Derince 1, Gebze 1, Gölcük 2, Karamürsel 1, Gulf 1 stations are located in İzmit. At our stations, there are 35 bicycle parking units, 12 and 24, and 444 bicycles. You can deliver the bike you rent from any station to another station of your choice. The system has been put into use as of 18.08.2014 date. In the system, bicycles can be rented with Kobis Member Card and Kent Card in the first place. Rental with Credit Card will be activated in the future.

You can load your Kobis Member Cards from the Travel Cards Unit of the Public Transportation Department within the Fair or from Credit Loading with Credit Card under Member Transactions. Credit Card Click to download online.

What is Smart Bike System?

It is a sustainable bicycle sharing system that serves as an alternative transportation for bicycle lovers in many metropolises, supported by electronic and mechanical systems, eliminates the necessity of carrying bicycles and can be integrated into the transportation network in the city.

How does the SME system work?

The system provides services in different ways including Kobis Member Card, Kent Card and Credit Card. Bike lovers who want to use smart bicycle system can be rented by following the necessary steps with their passwords from rental kiosk or parking units. Thanks to the GPS transmitter on the bicycles, the position information of the bicycle is tracked. In this way, possible problems can be intervened.

SME Fee Schedule

The usage fee covers the period after the bike has been taken from the parking lot and until it has been successfully parked at any station. Charges are made on an hourly basis.

• 0-60 Min 1 TL
• 1-2 Between Hours 2 TL
• 2-3 Between Hours 3 TL
• 3-4 Between Hours 4 TL
• 4-5 Between Hours 5 TL

• Charges are per hour. 1 TL per hour A fee is charged.

How to Rent a SME?

Bike rental is done with Kobis member card and Personalized City Card. Rental with Credit Card will be activated in the future.

With SME Member Card

- You can buy your KOBİS member cards for 5 TL and rent a bike by charging credit. Membership credentials are required. (Birth certificate)

-In order to get a SME Member Card, you must be over the age of 18.

-You can get your bike by reading your member card to the panel at the bicycle parking places and entering your 4 digit password by pressing enter button.

- When delivering the bike, you should see the warning that it was delivered on the screen leaving the bike in place of empty and out of service parking. Otherwise, the system will show that you have not delivered the bike.
- If you are not a registered member, you can instantly subscribe to the system by filling out the required information on the membership form by clicking on the link from the member transactions page.

-Cart fee and refill transactions with your credit card on the web site you can make a Member Card Download Credit.

-Without using credit card, you can buy and refill your member card for 5 TL by stating that you are a member of the system from the Travel Cards Unit of the Public Transportation Department within the Fair.

Personalized City Card

- Membership transactions can only be made with personalized travel cards.

-Personalized cards; 18 stands for Student Cards, Teacher Cards and 60-65 travel card holders.

-You can rent bicycles by following the steps in the kiosk in Smart Bicycle Stations with your city card. The processing steps are described in the images on the sides of the kiosk panels in the station.

-When the credit transfer from member and account transactions is completed, you can get your bike by entering your 4 digit password on the panel in bicycle parking places and pressing enter button.

-When delivering the bike, you should see the warning that it was delivered on the screen, leaving the bike in place of empty and out of service, green lit parking. Otherwise, the rental process may not be terminated.

How Do I Deliver the Bike?

You can deliver the bike you rent from any station to an empty and online parking unit at any station. When you deliver the bike, wait for the warning message on the parking screen to indicate that the bike has been delivered. If the delivery does not take place, the fee will continue to be charged to you. In addition, the bike will face security threats. In such cases, call e 444 11 41 hotline immediately.

After renting a bicycle with Kent Card, the members are required to perform Unblocking from the Account Transactions menu on the kiosk screen. Otherwise, the blocked amount is transferred to the member's SME account as a credit if this city card is used in public transportation. The city card is not refundable and can only be used for bicycle rental.

How do I become a member of Kobis?

If you are a registered member of Kobis System, you can login to the system with your username and password and access your information.

If you are not a registered member, you can instantly subscribe to the system by filling out the required information in the membership form by clicking on the link.

You can get your member card for 5 TL by stating that you are a member of the system from the Travel Cards Unit of the Public Transportation Department within the fair.
