Soner Özkan, the Head of the Road Construction Maintenance and Repair Department, who explained the concrete road works they realized in Eskişehir to more than a thousand people, stated that they will continue to prefer concrete road especially in the countryside due to the increasing costs.

Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, which is an example for many institutions and organizations with its concrete road works in Eskişehir, was the only local administration that made a presentation to the participants in the congress. In the congress where Soner Özkan, head of Road Construction, Maintenance and Repair Department and his team took place, Özkan gave information to the participants about the concrete road works they realized in Eskişehir. Expressing that concrete roads are longer lasting and more economical than asphalt roads, Özkan stated that as Eskişehir Metropolitan Municipality, concrete roads will continue to be preferred especially on rural roads outside the city center. Özkan, who conveyed the surface negativities in the countryside, why the concrete road should be preferred, and the positive and negative aspects of the concrete road application, gave information to the participants about the solutions.
Expressing that they represent Eskişehir in the best way possible in accordance with the understanding of urbanism, Özkan stated that they are proud to be the only local government to present at the congress. In the joint statement prepared at the end of the congress, the views of the Metropolitan Municipality were also included.
