Marmaray Project
Marmaray Project; It is a project built on the 13,6 km route between Ayrılıkçeşme on the Asian side and Kazlıçeşme on the European side. It will provide uninterrupted rail transport from Beijing to London by combining the suburban rail systems on the Asian and European sides at the base of the Bosphorus. Marmaray Project Republic of Turkey with the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) in Official Development Assistance (ODA) loans signed in the framework of agreed-made loans have been funded within the scope.

Gebze-Halkalı Improvement of Suburban Lines: Construction, Electrical and Mechanical Systems
The second part of the project, 63 km-long anl Suburban Improvement ”is financed in part by the European Investment Bank (EIB) and partly by the Council of Europe Development Bank (AKKB).

Gebze-Halkalı Current Status of Suburban Lines
●● T20 intercity train line, one of the lines planned to be constructed as 3 line on the 3 km route between Gebze and Pendik, Gebze and Pendik intercity train stations, and the electrification and signaling processes in this section were completed and put into operation on 25 July 2014 with Ankara-Istanbul YHT Project. . With the other two lines in this region, 10 commuter stations were completed.

Railway Vehicle Manufacturing

Production of 34 vehicles, 10 × 20 and 5 × 440, to be used on the Marmaray Project route, has been completed. Installation of 300 units of this car EUROTEM was held in Adapazari factory in Turkey.
The vehicles are stored and protected in Edirne and Sirkeci Temporary Gare sites. The installation of the signal and radio equipment of the 19 5 vehicle series delivered to TCDD Taşımacılık A.Ş. is completed and is currently being used in Marmaray operation.
