Explaining that the Ankara-Sivas YHT line has achieved 94 percent physical progress in infrastructure construction, Turhan said, “We will start test drives in the coming days and start operating in the first half of 2020. Turhan, Ankara-Izmir high-speed railway construction work continues in all sections, said:

“We aim to complete the Polatlı-Afyonkarahisar section at the end of 2021 and the Afyonkarahisar-İzmir section at the end of 2022. We will reduce the 14-hour railway travel time between Ankara and Izmir to 3 hours and 30 minutes by YHT.
In the 56-kilometer Bursa-Gölbaşı-Yenişehir section, we have achieved 73 percent improvement in infrastructure works. With the completion of Bursa-Yenişehir at the end of 2022 and Bursa-Osmaneli in 2023, both Ankara-Bursa and Bursa-Istanbul will be approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. ”
