The 2019st session of the 22nd Unification of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Council in October 1 was held under the chairmanship of Samsun Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mustafa Demir. At the council meeting where 44 items were discussed, 42 agenda items were unanimously and 2 agenda items were approved by majority vote. "We will take all kinds of measures in transportation"

Speaking about the 2020-2024 Strategic Plan proposal, Mayor Mustafa Demir said, “We will be in detailed studies at the point of action plan. We are continuing our work on animal husbandry. Here, an issue that concerns our district mayors. We will work together. If we can succeed, we will seek a common path with our Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry after the Presidential Government System. We will produce projects here as much as there is space for agriculture, animal husbandry and agriculture related to our municipality. We will integrate our district municipalities into these projects. We will undertake very important radical changes in public transportation. Samsun is a rapidly developing city with a rapidly increasing traffic density. There are serious traffic densities in this regard. In this context, we will do serious work to regulate the density and traffic. We will ensure that all our citizens travel to their destinations in the most efficient and safest way. We will do everything necessary for this and we will take all kinds of precautions ”.

Explaining that there will be an increase in transportation in Samsun, President Demir said, “We will take SAMULAŞ out of financing with capital increases and do it very quickly in terms of completely comfortable, safe and fast. SAMULAŞ is currently operating both the rail system and the buses. Every decision he makes about the routes affects other actors in transportation. We are doing a total study. These works will be shared with you in December. SAMULAŞ is working on a system based on the mileage it has built, not supported by capital. We are also working on receiving advertising. There is such a study in UKOME on the issue of raise. There is no such thing as not to do it. Fuel prices and other developments in the sector are known.
