THIRD WORKS OF TCDD GENERAL MANAGER UYGUN

“It has been 3 years since the first work on the İzmir-Aydın line started on September 1856, 163. Railways witnessed wars, our War of Independence, peace, and the establishment of our new state in this land.

The National Struggle, after our emergence as an independent state along with the establishment of the Republic of economic and social life in Turkey almost moved out of the future of the railways. During this period, 1950 km railway was built until 3.764 despite all the poverty, poverty and technological inadequacy. The length of the railway, which was built from 1950 to 2003, remained at 945 km.

Since 2003, we have brought important projects for domestic and national production to our country with signaling and electrification of existing lines, logistics centers, R & D studies, urban rail systems, high speed trains and we continue to bring new ones. As we build new modern high-speed railway stations in line with increasing passenger demand, we maintain the historical and cultural heritage of our railways with our original restored stations and stations.

Under the leadership of Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, who says “Railways are a more important safety weapon of the country than wholesale, rifle uz, we continue our way with more confidence and trust in 163 annual knowledge and experience.
