The Project titled "Mathematics at the Stop" was Implemented in order to Enlighten Citizens Waiting at Bus and Tram Stops to Love Mathematics


Konya Metropolitan Municipality Transportation and Rail Systems Department Head Hasan GÖRGÜLÜ, District Director of National Education Mustafa KOCA, and many students and citizens participated in the project called “Mathematics at the Stop” conducted by 5 primary schools in Konya.

The "Mathematics at the Stop" project, which was carried out by our Meram Mehmet and İbrahim Çelik Elementary School, Karahüyük Ahmet Haşhaş Primary School, Meram Ali Yaman Primary School, Meram Gödene Toki Şehit Yunus Berber Primary School, Hanefi Aytekin Primary Schools in Konya, came alive with the opening program held at the bus stop. The drawings and works of the students in the schools involved in the project are also hung on the stops to change and popularize the prejudice against mathematics. Meram Mehmet and İbrahim Çelik Primary School Director Mümin Ünlükaçar, who made the opening speech, stated that they aimed to break the prejudices of the citizens of all ages waiting at the stops in Konya and to gain a positive attitude with the project, to our Konya Metropolitan Municipality, Meram District Governorship, which helped in the implementation and execution of this project. Our District Director of National Education, Mustafa KOCA, expressed his gratitude to all the students, teachers and administrators who contributed to the project, which was realized in order to ensure the permanence of mathematics by explaining mathematics visually with fun and caricatured drawings.
