ISKI General Directorate, one of the affiliates of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, continues its works in order to prevent floods in regions where rainfall is higher than seasonal norms from time to time with the effect of global climate change.

Within the scope of the Kurbağalıdere Rehabilitation Project, which is under construction in this direction, the expansion of the stream section is initiated in the region between Göztepe Köprülü Junction and Optimum Shopping Mall.

5 October 2019 The project, which will start on Saturday, will be completed in stages and will last approximately 6 months. The project will rehabilitate Kurbagalidere and provide a permanent solution to the floods in the region.

E-5 route will be closed in stages to prevent traffic disruption in the region. Traffic will be directed to the new service road. Therefore, during work, drivers need to follow the traffic signs, pointers and router road lines.

In Stage One: D 100 Highway Göztepe Köprülü Junction Location traffic, temporarily redirected to the new service road. The area shown in green on the map is intended to be completed within 60 days.

Second Stage: In the first stage, traffic will be directed to the completed section and incomplete river rehabilitation constructions parallel to E5 and E5 will be completed. The works at the points indicated with purple and blue on the map are planned to be completed within 120 days.
