Minister of Agriculture and Forestry Bekir Pakdemirli examined it at Bozdağ Ski Center. Bozdağ Ski Center in Ödemiş district of İzmir, which is one of the important ski centers for winter tourism in the Aegean Region, was closed by the İzmir Governor's Office in 2017 due to the avalanche danger and did not serve again.

The Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry has decided to build an avalanche screen to reactivate the facility, which has an accommodation facility for 80 people, 2 ski lifts, 1 chair lift, 3 ski slopes, cafeteria and restaurant, which is called the Uludağ of the Aegean.

Bekir Pakdemirli, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry in Bozdag Ski Center in Ödemiş, told reporters that he had come to the facility in the past years. Pakdemirli emphasized that he received information from the authorities about the ski center and said, Boz Bozdag Ski Center, which was closed the previous year due to the avalanche danger, will be operational next winter season.

Our friends did technical inspection at the facility. We need to build avalanche curtains for the area. I gave them instructions. The tender process has begun.. MOUNTAIN CLUB IS COMING

Pakdemirli continued: “These regions can be mentioned not only by sea but also by snow. It is important to make all of these work again and to offer them to the people of the region. Our General Directorate of Forestry will establish a mountaineering club after the operation.

We will start activities for our young people to ski. We will be directing our youth to sports by protecting them from bad habits.” – morning
