The Alstom Foundation announced its final selection of projects submitted for the 2019 period. With the total 158 project presented, Alstom employees once again demonstrated their commitment to charity and community support.

“BiDown Independent Life and Career Academy” is an education project for young people with Down syndrome who complete school education and need support to have their own independence and business skills. The purpose of this project is to design educational tools and materials to teach adults the skills needed in daily and professional life, such as money management, public transport use, communication, cooking, career planning, which benefit their lives.

As of this year, our Foundation will have a budget of 50 million Euros, with an increase of more than 1.5% compared to previous years. In this way, it will be possible to support projects with more and / or higher budget. ”
This year, the Foundation's Board of Directors chose the 2019 project to finance the 20 / 25 budget, which means a significant increase compared to the 16 project financed last year.
Founded in 2007, the Alstom Foundation collaborates with local NGOs and non-profit organizations to undertake initiatives aimed at improving the living conditions of the communities in which our company's facilities and project sites are located around the world, supporting and financing projects proposed by Alstom employees. Our Foundation's projects focus on four axes: Mobility, Environment, Energy and Water and Socio-Economic Development.
