Transport and Infrastructure Minister M. Cahit Turhan, Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank also held with the participation of Turkey's Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) and the Republic of Turkey State Railways (TCDD) in "The Railway Institute of Transport Technology" cooperation on the establishment In his speech at the signing ceremony of the protocol, said he was happy to come together on the occasion of this protocol.
Turhan stated that having modern transportation infrastructure of developed countries is one of the common characteristics of the countries. Because the most efficient way to reach from the coast to the interior is by rail. From the very beginning, as a government, we have taken a new approach to our railways in order to achieve a balanced distribution between modes of transport, as in developed countries. Implementation of liberalization of the sector, expansion of High Speed Train and High Speed Train network, completion of renewal process of existing lines, electrical and signaling of all lines, expansion of logistics centers, development of domestic and national railway industry are among our priorities. In this context, we have invested TL 133 billion in railways. ”
Minister Turhan stated that, after 1950, the average 18 kilometer railway is built annually, and since 2003, they make an average 135 kilometer railway annually. percent 2023'a aim to be removed. ”
Sonraki Our next goal is the production of High Speed Train sets ”
Minister Turhan, China will connect to Europe, the railway line of the two most important joining the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway line and stressing that they complete the link back to the Marmaray, so also expressed that they make the strategic position of Turkey more powerful.
In this week Halkalı-Kapıkule Railway Line ÇerkezköyTurhan stated that they would start the construction works of Kapıkule Section and continued as follows:
“In addition to High Speed Train Lines, we are constructing high speed train lines suitable for 200 km / h where freight and passenger transport can be carried out together. Within this scope, we are continuing our construction works for a total of one thousand 786 kilometers high speed lines and 429 kilometers conventional railway, Bursa-Bilecik, Sivas-Erzincan, Konya-Karaman-Ulukışla-Yenice-Mersin-Adana, Adana-Osmaniye-Gaziantep. In addition to railway construction, we accelerated the efforts to make the electrical and signaling of the important axes where freight and train traffic are dense. In doing all this, we attached great importance to one issue, which is the development of the domestic and national railway industry. In line with this objective, we have made all kinds of legal arrangements that can be made by the state and paved the way for the private sector. We continue to improve these regulations and pave the way for our sector. We want our private sector to follow the world carefully and apply the new developments in our country. ”
Turhan pointed out that they have formed a serious national railway industry in the last 16 years. The high speed train and subway vehicles in TÜVASAŞ in Sakarya, high speed train shears in Çankırı, high speed train sleepers in Sivas, Sakarya, Afyon, Konya and Ankara, Erzincan reminded that they have established facilities producing rail connection materials, started to produce high speed train rails to Kardemir, they cooperated with Makine Kimya for the production of wheels in Kırıkkale.
He also reminded that TULOMSAS and TUDEMSAS produced a total of 1,000 2018 conventional freight wagons in 33. As a country, we produced the hybrid locomotive which can work as diesel and battery powered as a prototype. We will also succeed in the design and production of Milli Electric Train Sets. Our next goal is the production of High Speed Train sets. We are fully confident that we will experience that great enthusiasm as a nation. Kul
“The cooperation between TUBITAK and TCDD will create a great energy”
Minister Turhan stated that the Rail Transportation Technologies Institute, which will be established in cooperation with TCDD-TÜBİTAK, will contribute greatly to all these studies and said, “TUBITAK's theoretical knowledge, TCDD's historical field experience, will undoubtedly constitute a great energy. This power unit needs rail transport. Because with the increase in railroad investments in our country, the total length of the road and the number of rail vehicles are increasing rapidly. With this increase, the development of the products we need through domestic and national resources has become increasingly critical and strategic. ”
Turhan emphasized that the importance of technological independence in the rail transportation sector will be better understood when 2035 billion investments will be made together with infrastructure investments until 70.
Sonradan Countries that have subsequently acquired rail transport technologies have done the development of these technologies through a specialized institute. In this sense, we are taking a step with the protocol that will be signed 'small for today and very big for the future'. I hope that by establishing an institutional cooperation between TCDD and TÜBİTAK, the institute will be established and our country will become a pioneer country exporting technology in rail transportation. In this context, the institute will firstly design the railway technologies required by our country with national and local facilities and carry out technology transfer agreements. After increasing the existing technological competence of our country, the institute will become an institution working on the railway technologies of the future. ”
Minister Turhan wished that the Institute of Rail Transport Technologies would be beneficial to the country.
