Train Crash in Iran, 4 Dead 35 Injured

Iran's Zahedan-Tehran passenger train derailed. At least 4 people were killed and 35 people were injured in the accident.

Iran's Sistan and Balochistan in the province of Zahedan and Başknet Tehran flights between the passenger train derailed. According to preliminary reports, 4 people were killed and 35 people were injured in the accident.

General Director of State Crisis Desk Abdulrahman Sehnvazi said that the train locomotive derailed due to the accumulation of sand on the railway. Şehnvazi confirmed the number of dead and wounded and sent aid teams, helicopters and ambulances to the region. The Iranian Emergency Aid Agency said that the situation of the injured is heavy and the number of deaths may increase.

An investigation into the accident was initiated.
