7 September 1871 The Belgian company won the Haydarpaşa-İzmir railway's rail purchase tender for the locomotives and wagons of the line.
7 September 1939 European railway traffic reopened.
7 September 2011 The Orient Express, which started its campaign in September every year, departed from Paris at 2 September 2011. Orient Express, Vienna, Budapest, Sinai, Bucharest and Varna route to Istanbul Sirkeci Gar'a reached.
