İBB Inter-Agency Dragon Bot Festival gave private sector employees a weekend full of adrenaline. IMM Fire Department Team completed the races in the second place.

International Dragon Boat Festival 21 and 22 organized by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) for the second time this year took place in Maltepe Orhangazi City Park. Hundreds of participants competed at the festival, which lasted for two days, while the Fire Department Team, which participated in the event on behalf of IMM, completed the first challenging stages of the event.


The festival, organized with the participation of national and international companies operating in the private sector, brought thousands of people together at Maltepe Orhangazi City Park. Employees from many different sectors, from tourism to energy, from banking to automotive, talked about their coordination and acting skills.


The first day of the festival where 56 team took place was the scene of the struggle in the fun-sport and sport categories. The races in which the participants performed their highest performances were held on the 250 meters. The drummer and helmsman and twenty-one crew consisting of crew members, the second day of the cup and championship fought for.

Organizing the festival with the cooperation of HSB Group, IMM also participated in 20019's last Dragon Bot Festival as a contestant. Istanbul Fire Brigade Team participated in the festival with the most difficult stage of the IMM in the sport category. On the first day, 1: 04: İBB team, which reached the federation cup final with the time of 57, took part in the gold group in the final. At the end of the final race, our team reached the finish with 1: 02: 71. At the end of the organization, all the awards were awarded with trophies, medals and various gifts.

The festival hosted various stage shows, dance shows, DJ performances and photo contests organized via social media. The participants and visitors had the opportunity to play sports and have fun.
