İBB Inter-Agency Dragon Bot Festival gave private sector employees a weekend full of adrenaline. IMM Fire Department Team completed the races in the second place.

The Inter-Institutional Dragon Boat Festival, organized by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) for the second time this year, was held in Maltepe Orhangazi City Park on September 21 and 22. While hundreds of participants competed at the festival, which lasted for two days, the Fire Brigade Team, which participated in the event on behalf of IMM, completed the challenging stages for the first time.

3 THOUSAND PEOPLE WATCHED

The festival, organized with the participation of national and international companies operating in the private sector, brought thousands of people together at Maltepe Orhangazi City Park. Employees from many different sectors, from tourism to energy, from banking to automotive, talked about their coordination and acting skills.

TWENTY TEAMS FIGHTED

The first day of the festival where 56 team took place was the scene of the struggle in the fun-sport and sport categories. The races in which the participants performed their highest performances were held on the 250 meters. Organizing the festival in collaboration with HSB Group, İBB also participated in the last Dragon Bot Festival of 20019 as a competitor. Having participated in the festival with the Istanbul Fire Brigade Team, IMM competed in the most difficult stage, the sport category. On the first day, the IBB team, which rose to the final of the federation cup for a period of 1: 04:57, was in the gold group. Reaching the finish at the end of the final race for 1:02:71, our team was successful. All the entries placed at the end of the organization were awarded with trophies, medals and various gifts.

The festival hosted various stage shows, dance shows, DJ performances and photo contests organized via social media. The participants and visitors had the opportunity to play sports and have fun.
